Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure Limited were appointed by MBJ Airports Limited to extend the runway at Sangster International Airport ( SIA ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
In partnership with local firm S & G Road Surfacing Materials Limited , we delivered a 408 meter extension to the runway and the implementation of runway end safety areas (RESA) at both ends, ensuring that SIA now complies with the highest international standards.
The extended runway enhances operational capabilities, allowing for higher payloads and increased visitor traffic. It also opens new gateways and routes, making Jamaica even more accessible to the world.
